About the Role

Base Location: Perth

Salary: £55,573 - £63,643 + shift + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time

The Key Responsibilities for the Transmission Control Engineer are:

- Coordination of commissioning programs and operational data.

- Power system analysis of electricity flows.

- Understanding principles of real and reactive power flow, and voltage.

- Experience and clear understanding of a safe system of work.

- Ensuring the provision of appropriate SCADA displays and PSS/E models prior to network changes.

- In real time, commissioning and switching up to 400kV.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- A minimum of an HNC in electrical engineering and will ideally have experience as a senior authorised person. (SAP)

- You will have a relevant background in electrical power system operation.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate complex issues effectively to a diverse range of stakeholders.

- You will be a team player and work well in a knowledge sharing culture.

- A flexible and proactive approach to work in order to achieve results and thrive under pressure.

- Previous experience working in a control room environment desirable.
