Our client has been designing and manufacturing world class power conversion systems using cutting edge technology for over 30 years. They operate out of their Gateshead, Tyne and Wear facility but provide their innovative power products and services worldwide.
Main duties as a Power Electronics Engineer:
Support the design, development and testing of Power Electronics hardware and software solutionsYou will be involved in the generation of all functional, component, manufacturing, test and validation specifications and will contribute to the compilation of accurate project documentation.You will also support related activities such as drawing and printed circuit board development.Provide advice and guidance on all aspects of Power Electronics Engineering throughout the product lifecycle including device analysis and validation. Skills and Experience Required for the Power Electronics Engineer:
Degree in Electronics Engineering (BEng 2:1 or higher) with disciplines in powerExperience of power electronic converters (AC:AC, DC:DC, DC:AC) and/or motor drivesKnowledge of SMPS, analogue and digital design, PCB layout, EMC, electronics design is preferable. The salary is between GBP45K and GBP50K depending on experience + excellent benefits and relocation assistance if needed.
