AddressPower Electronics Specialist – Cambridge/Hybrid - £60,000 pa - £85,000 pa
An Electronics manufacturer specialising Power Electronics are looking for a Power Electronics Engineer to join their R&D team designing next generation Power Electronics solutions for a variety of industries including the rail & automotive sector.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new Power Electronics solutions and improve existing designs
- Work through the full design life cycle from concept to release
- Work in a small, multi-disciplinary team with other Electronics Hardware & Software Engineers
- Manage time efficiently to ensure on time delivery of projects
Key Skills/Experience:
- Degree in Electronic Engineering or another relevant discipline
- Power electronics converter module design & validation
- High-Power Electronics
- Good knowledge of Power Electronics components (MOSFETs, diodes, IGBTs etc.)
Any mix of the following is nice to have:
- Simulation and modelling of power converters (MATLAB/Simulink)
- Thermal design experience (loss calculations, simulations etc.)
- Grid technologiese
