About the company?
This industry-leading mechanical, electrical and low carbon consultancy are looking for a Power Systems Engineer to join their Solihull office. Founded in the 1970's, they have many years of experience in several sectors including Zero Carbon, Pharmaceutical and Industrial and Logistics. Their recent big projects include award-winning buildings such as their Bicester Eco Town and George Davies Centre for the University of Leicester.
In the last 2 years, they have expanded exponentially with over 240 staff across 13 locations in the UK, Europe and Asia. Sustainability is at the heart of the company made apparent by their mission to design Zero Carbon buildings to minimise their environmental impact.
In addition, the company takes part in difference-making charity events all year round to raise money for the local community and have even set up their own registered charity to help out as much as they can. As an Intermediate Electrical Engineer, you will have a range of duties including being involved in all stages of varied projects, producing drawings and specifications, carrying out design calculations, working in a team environment, and representing the company at meetings.
What is required from the successful Power System Engineer?
* Degree in Power System Engineering or related discipline and previous experience of working in an engineering environment.
* Experience of using ETAP (IPSA+, ERACS, Power Factory, Amtech HV or similar) software.
* Experience of using Revit software would be advantageous.
* Confident and versatile Engineer able to work independently and within a team.
* The desire to grow as an Engineer and develop your career.
