Power Tools Business Development Manager
Location: Preston, Lancashire, United Kingdom - Office based
Permanent
Salary: £38-40K + £3K Car Allowance + commission (up to £20K)
Client Profile:
Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier within the automotive sector. They are now going through their next phase of expansion and are looking for aPower ToolsBusiness Development Manager to work in their offices based in Preston.
Responsibilities:
To develop programs and support their implementation to promote, sell and grow the Industrial Power Tools products into the UK, and Europe.

  • Develop and Maintain specialist distribution customer base for professional products
  • Work with customers to develop product requirements.
  • Liaise with product team in HQ for product road map and responsible for new product line launch in UK and EU marketplace.
  • Identify areas for market research, conduct customer and competitor analysis and monitor feedback.
  • Devising sales and marketing strategy and tactics for Promoting and selling Industrial Power Tools
  • Visit to current and potential accounts, visiting and attending UK & European exhibitions
  • Create pricing strategy and Maintain price list for all various sales channel
  • Liaise with planning team for forward planning of new stock
  • Setting and controlling of yearly budgets and sales targets
  • Monthly and Annual sales reporting.
  • Liaising closely with members of support staff, admin, technical, and marketing.

Personal Specification:
The successful candidate for the role of Power Tools Business Development Managermust have the following skills:

  • Background in Power Tools Sales preferred. However, we can consider someone Junior who has some technical sales or product management experience(Preferably with engineering qualification).
  • Automotive manufacturing, plant background would be a bonus.
  • 3+ years of sales experience in technical/professional hardware products to B2B specialist distributor customers.
  • Product management experience essential
  • Degree, or equivalent, in the areas of engineering or marketing is beneficial.
  • Business acumen
  • Negotiation skills, Numeric skills, Competent IT skills, Good analytical abilities
  • Self-motivation
  • Strong Communicator
