Powerbi Developer - Remote

Our client is embarking on a global digital transformation, spearheaded from the UK. This role plays a crucial part in supporting our UK Data Manager and BI Team to enhance our BI, Dashboards, data queries, and analysis capabilities. Collaborating with stakeholders and leveraging Power BI and bespoke solutions, you'll contribute to an integrated, innovative reporting ecosystem.

Your goal will be to streamline and enrich our BI outputs, promoting business efficiency and insights.

Responsibilities:

• Develop BI and data applications using PowerBI, incorporating Azure technologies (Data Lakes, Data Bricks, Data Factory, SQL Data Warehouse, Synapse, Analysis Service).
• Manage PowerBI Workspaces, user access, gateways, and schedules.
• Design data models and publish PowerBI reports, employing DAX, Databricks, Excel, SSAS, SQL, M-language, and SharePoint.
• Evaluate and refine existing reports across platforms (Tableau, Excel, Qlik, MS Access) for accuracy and efficiency.
• Facilitate data integration across UK platforms for comprehensive data visibility.
• Possess additional Power Platform skills (Power Pages, Apps, Automate, Virtual Agents) to enhance functionality.
• Lead project delivery within a Jira Kanban framework, providing insights and updates.
• Conduct training and workshops, enabling self-service PowerBI reporting and analysis.
• Recommend improvements based on data analysis to the UK BI & Data Manager.
• Support BI Analysts with PowerBI, SQL coding/Scripting, offering mentorship.

Essential:

• A-level or equivalent, or significant experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in PowerBI, Tableau, data modelling, and Azure cloud services.
• Skilled in MS SQL Server.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and a capability to support and influence change.

Desirable:

• Degree or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Proclaim, data virtualization, machine learning, financial reporting, QlikView, MS Access, data warehousing.
• Experience in data engineering, management, and modelling.
• Engagement with senior stakeholders.
• Background in Insurance OR Financial Services.
• Willingness for inter-office travel, driving license, and car ownership preferred.
