SalaryFT Recruitment are recruiting for a PPT driver based in Ashby-De-La-Zouch, this role is working for a well established logistics company.
Job Description:
- Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including vans and flatbed trucks, to transport goods and materials to designated location
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securement
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries
- inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks as needed
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating company vehicles
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays
What we require for this role:
- Previous experience as a driver, preferably in a commercial or warehouse setting
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and basic vehicle maintenance
- Familiarity with various types of vehicles, such as vans and flatbed trucks
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Ability to navigate using GPS or other navigation systems
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
