Job Title: PR and Press Manager
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
Location: Welwyn Garden City (Hybrid)
Contract: Permanent - full time
Hours: Monday to Friday -9.00 am - 5pm
 
COMPANY PROFILE

A charity-based membership organisation based in the heart of Welwyn Garden City are seeking an experienced PR & Press Manager to join a thriving and interesting Policy and Standards team on a full time, permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be apart of a team that is responsible for identifying and delivering opportunities for revenue growth through media press etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·Respond to inbound enquiries from the media.
·Be on call to take media queries occasionally out of office hours
·Plan, write and proofread press releases.
·Draft comments for journalists on request
·Modify press material to use for local, regional and specialist press
·Manage media relationships with journalists including meetings when required
·Use content from other means to raise awareness on the clients initiative.
 
SKILLS REQUIRED

·Experience of working in digital, marketing, PR and or Journalism
·Experience of writing content, blogs and Press releases
·Previous experience working for a charity or an organisation with members is highly desirable
·Strong copy writing skills
·Good knowledge of social media, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc
