SalaryMy client, an Accountancy Practice based in Newcastle are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accountant to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, providing comprehensive accounting services, and contributing to the overall success of the practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK accounting standards.
- Manage a portfolio of clients, providing tailored accounting and advisory services.
- Prepare annual accounts, tax returns, and financial statements for businesses and individuals.
- Conduct regular financial reviews and provide strategic advice to clients.
- Assist clients with bookkeeping, payroll, VAT returns, and management accounts.
- Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients, handling inquiries and resolving issues.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and financial regulations.
- Assist with audits and ensure adherence to internal control systems.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, offering proactive advice and support.
Qualifications and Skills:
- ACCA/ACA/AAT qualified or part-qualified, or QBE with relevant experience in an accountancy practice.
- Strong knowledge of UK tax legislation and accounting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
