Contribute to the development of, and sustain an effective learning environment for pre and post registered nursing, midwifery and community public health nursing students in the Trust.He/she will be required to contribute to the implementation of a learning and assessment governance framework to ensure that the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s (NMC) Standards for Student Supervision and Assessment are met. Act as a member of the team of nursing and midwifery Practice Education Facilitators contributing to the high quality of placement learning experiences for students, to ensure that they complete programmes for registration or recording a qualification with the NMC.Be responsible for providing professional support and facilitation for ward sisters/charge nurse and team leaders, nominated person, practice assessors/practice supervisors and students in collaboration with Trust Senior Nurses, to ensure that the NMC Standards for Student Supervision and Assessment are met. Work in partnership with others to contribute to systems that critically evaluate the effectiveness of learning and education activities within pre and specific post registration programmes.Deputise for the Lead Nurse for Practice Education and Workforce Development and to provide cover for team colleagues as and when required..
