What joining Millpark offers:
Millpark is a small but fantastically well-equipped practice that was established over 30 years ago. We are just on the outskirts of Newent, within a 15-minute walk of the town centre. There is onsite parking for staff and clients and we service a wide area of Newent, nearby towns, villages, and the rural area as well, so there is a real mix of clients with many having been with us for decades. There are also great links to both Wales, Gloucester and Cheltenham, being only 30 minutes away. We have most equipment you would expect as standard and are continually investing to gradually increase our diagnostic abilities. Close by we have a network of referral centres that are always on hand if we need help. Millpark is more than just a practice – we're dedicated to giving back to the community. Collaborating with local schools, we participate in educational opportunities and are striving to achieve the sustainability award with IVC - Positive Pawprint. We're passionate about sustainability and biodiversity, promoting recycling and caring for the environment. We are currently working with our local charity partner who offer dog days to those with dementia and their carers, and are continually looking for other ways we can be involved in local charity work.
Our Opening Times:
Monday - Friday between 9:00am - 10:30am and 4:00pm - 6:30pm
Saturdays between 9:00am - 12:30am
Working within the professional team:
We are a close-knit team including 2 vets, 3 RVNs, 2 VCAs and 3 receptionists supported by a Head Receptionist. Joining Millpark means becoming part of a veterinary family with decades of experience. Our clinical director has been with us for over 20 years, and our team of RVNs, VCAs, and reception staff will support and welcome you with open arms. The new Practice Manager will seamlessly integrate into the team focusing on patients, clients, and colleagues to ensure the smoothest client journeys and fulfilling roles for all colleagues. Staff support and well-being are at the forefront of our ethos. Supporting pet behaviour is particularly important to the practice, with our whole team undertaking appropriate animal handling courses, and currently hold silver Cat-Friendly ISFM status.
We understand that life outside of your career is just as important, which is why we can offer flexible rota patterns and working hours tailored to your needs within our opening hours. Whether you prefer a fixed or flexible schedule, we've got you covered. Our full-time colleagues have the option of a four-day week, while part-time colleagues can enjoy early finishes, all without weekend, on-call or bank holiday duties.
