The Opportunity:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, and hard-working General Practice Nurse to join the clinical team at this warm and welcoming surgery. You will work alongside GPs, Clinical Pharmacists, Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Specialist Practitioners, and administrative staff to deliver the highest quality of care to all patients. The practice are seeking a Practice Nurse to become a member of the GP Surgery family, valued by staff and patients alike.
The Role:
As a member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team, you will be responsible for supporting patients acute care and also for planned future care, including for patients suffering with chronic conditions.
Your main duties will be general nursing duties, such as; wound care, long-term condition reviews, cervical screening, immunisations, blood tests, health screening, baby imms, long term conditions annual reviews (asthma, COPD, LD, CKD, AF, CHD, cancer reviews, dementia support, SMIs etc), ear syringing, safeguarding, infection control, palliative care, family planning, contraception, travel vaccines . . . etc.
In addition to this, you will be supported to develop an area of leadership, which may be through infection prevention and control (IPC) compliance or improving uptake of cancer screening and immunisations.
Candidate Requirements:
Fully qualified Practice Nurse
Registered with NMC and RCN
Up to date with all mandatory training, immunisations and a recent DBS
