Responsibilities will include:
Repeat Prescription System
· Process prescription request via online services or Voicemail
· Sort and collate prescriptions for Pharmacy/patient collection
· Recording prescription collections
· Communicate with patients when review appointments or investigations are required.
Reception duties
· To take and receive messages and visit requests, and direct the doctors attention immediately if appropriate.
· To deal with general enquires and ensure follow up as required
· To undertake general tasks as would be expected in a reception area
Administrative duties
To record and file incoming medical charts
Prepare and photocopy patients reports
Passing on results to patients
Patient registration
Booking interpreters and ambulance transfers
Opening/locking up premises and maintaining security
Cover annual leave and sick leave where necessary
Essential Criteria
- 4 or more GCSEs or equivalent grades A-C (to include Maths and English) or equivalent
- Previous administration experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly organised, able to prioritise workload and work under pressure
- Work well as part of a team as well as independently
- Dependable and flexible
Desirable Criteria
Experience working in a Health Care setting in an administrative/receptionist role
