Pre-School Leader

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-School Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of our pre-school, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for our young learners..

A minimum of a Level 5 Diploma in Childcare, Learning and Development or Playwork

GCSE's or equivalent in Mathematics with at least a Grade C or above

at least 2 years experience in working a pre-school or early years setting

proven leadership experience within a childcare or educational environment

Thorough understanding of the Northern Ireland Pre-School Curriculum

Comprehensive knowledge of child development theories and practices

An awareness of the current Safeguarding Policies and Procedures

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment

Strong organisational and time management skills

Proficiency in record keeping and assessment practices

A commitment to continuous professional development

A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team

A genuine passion for early childhood education.

Successful completion of Access NI check

Satisfactory Health Declaration completed by a GP

Higher Level degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field

Specialised training in areas such as Special Education Needs (SEN), Speech and Language Development or Behaviour Management

Experience in Managing or Leading a Team within a Childcare or Educational Setting

Previous involvement in curriculum planning and implementation

Familiarity of Minimum Standards for Childminding and Daycare for Children Under 12 in Northern Ireland

Understanding of and experience with the regulatory inspection process

Proficiency in using educational software and technology in an Early Years setting

Ability to engage with parents and the wider community to enhance the learning environment

Having an innovative and creative approach to early years education

Strong Advocacy for Inclusive Practices in Education

Active membership in professional organisation related to early childhood education

Participation in early years networks and forums
