A minimum of a Level 5 Diploma in Childcare, Learning and Development or PlayworkGCSE's or equivalent in Mathematics with at least a Grade C or above at least 2 years experience in working a pre-school or early years settingproven leadership experience within a childcare or educational environment Thorough understanding of the Northern Ireland Pre-School CurriculumComprehensive knowledge of child development theories and practicesAn awareness of the current Safeguarding Policies and ProceduresExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environmentStrong organisational and time management skillsProficiency in record keeping and assessment practicesA commitment to continuous professional developmentA demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a teamA genuine passion for early childhood education.Successful completion of Access NI checkSatisfactory Health Declaration completed by a GP , Higher Level degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related fieldSpecialised training in areas such as Special Education Needs (SEN), Speech and Language Development or Behaviour ManagementExperience in Managing or Leading a Team within a Childcare or Educational SettingPrevious involvement in curriculum planning and implementationFamiliarity of Minimum Standards for Childminding and Daycare for Children Under 12 in Northern IrelandUnderstanding of and experience with the regulatory inspection processProficiency in using educational software and technology in an Early Years settingAbility to engage with parents and the wider community to enhance the learning environmentHaving an innovative and creative approach to early years education Strong Advocacy for Inclusive Practices in EducationActive membership in professional organisation related to early childhood educationParticipation in early years networks and forums
