Premises Assistant

Skanska Building Services provides complete Facilities Management of schools, colleges, and universities throughout the UK, providing mechanical and electrical engineering support, cleaning, catering and grounds maintenance on a planned and reactive basis, using technological solutions to manage our teams in the most efficient ways.

We are looking for a Premises Assistant (Assistant Caretaker) to join our facilities management team based in a School at in Speedwell, BS15.

You’ll:

• Coordinate and take responsibility for all planned and reactive maintenance delivered by the premises team for all equipment, plant, services and systems;
• Comply with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including Health and Safety legislation and safe systems of work.
• Undertake any training as required and to provide training, guidance, technical advice and support to the wider team.
• Work in alternating shift patterns opening up and locking up premises
• Be required to carry out an Enhanced DBS screening check if successful

We are looking for:

• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of employees, customers and clients
• Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding and varying workload
• Knowledge of building maintenance
• Willingness to learn, adapt and work as part of a team
