Shift: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm
Salary: £31000+ DOE
Metalis is working in partnership with a well-established manufacturing company in Sheffield who due to continuous growth are looking to hire a skilled Press Brake Draughtsman/Cutting Operative. Our client are open to levels of experience including graduates with CNC CAD Experience. They hire largely on attitude and a willingness to learn.
Job Duties:
- Programming CNC 3D waterjet, flame cutting, and Press Brake machines
- Support and problem solve customer queries with the sales team
- Effective time management and proactive organisational skills
- Ensure production runs efficiently through nesting and time planning
- Programming Flame cutting machinery
- Programming Bystronic Press Brake Operations
- Programming WJS 3D Waterjet Machinery
- Efficient part nesting on all sheet sizes for maximum Yield
- Supporting sales staff with order confirmations and feedback
- Management of job orders and process scheduling
- Identifying possible production improvements and increasing process efficiencies
Job Requirements:
- CAD Experience essential (SolidWorks preferred)
- Ability to read technical drawings essential
- Experience with manufacturer specific Bystronic, Trumpf and Waterjet Sweden software preferred
- A willingness to learn new skills is required as full training will be given to suitable candidates. We hire largely on attitude.
