About the Team & Role
Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service (GFRS) is looking for an individual, who is passionate and committed to the transformational journey to improve local safeguarding arrangements and outcomes for children, adults for the Communities for Gloucestershire.
As Safeguarding Coordinator you will work alongside the Community Safety Team and Prevention Station Manager. You will support these with active casework, accurate record-keeping, track trends and suggest improvements with the aim of continually enhancing Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service’s approach to Safeguarding. You will have particular responsibility for monitoring the safeguarding referral system, ensuring that all appropriate safeguarding measures are adhered to.
Our Fire and Rescue Service is looking for an individual, who is passionate about increasing the safety and resilience of people in Gloucestershire (including children and adults with care and support needs) and their communities; in order to reduce harm caused by abuse, neglect and other crime.
About You
To be successful you will need experience in Safeguarding capacity or similar and an understanding of and wider community safety-related issues. The ideal candidate will be able to identify and embrace new methods of work and technology and will have the ability to be self-motivated, determined, enthusiastic and resilient with excellent attention to detail.
In addition to the above listed criteria, the successful candidate must meet the following requirements:
· Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience in Safeguarding
· GCSE’s including English and Maths at Grade C or above
· Evidence of continuous personal and professional development
· Full UK Driving License
· This post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check including barred list check.
