Our client is a cost management consultancy that operates across the energy, waste and merchant services sector. Engaging with over 100 suppliers across these three sectors, the time has come for a Pricing Analyst to join the team.
They are looking for a numbers driven Pricing Analyst to increase their business's competitiveness, profitability and nimbleness. In this role, you will be analysing pricing, assisting with quotes and supporting the Operations team.
To ensure success as a Pricing Analyst, you should have a keen analytical and numerical mindset and experience in a similar role. Working closely within a very busy Operations team, the individual will need to be a team player
Pricing Analyst Responsibilities:
Negotiating with suppliers across the supply chain to increase company profit margins
Supporting the sales team by turning around quotations in a timely fashion whilst optimising profit margins
Analysing multiple supplier quotes and assessing which is the best fit for our client’s needs
Operational duties as required, such as checking contracts have the correct pricing
Other ad hoc administrative support
Pricing Analyst Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in a numerical based subject (e.g. engineering, maths, finance)
At least an intermediate understanding of MS Excel, ideally advanced knowledge
Excellent negotiation skills, be prepared to negotiate with suppliers to increase profit margin
Experience in collaborating on pricing strategies with sales and marketing departments.
Ability to present pricing analysis reports to relevant stakeholders.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Happy to pick up the phone and communicate with suppliers in order to bring down costs.
