Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant, Supply 

Contract Type: Supply, (Day to Day or Long Term.) 

Salary: £97.83 per day 

Higher Level Teaching Assistant – (full or part-time work available)  

The Supply Register are delighted to be working in an exclusive partnership with Prospere Learning Trust in Manchester. We are seeking experienced HLTA’s with great behavioural management skills to join their Primary Schools across the Manchester area. Prospect House and Grange School and are eager to appoint a new member of staff to join their welcoming team! The perfect candidate will have UK experience in classrooms, have a Teaching Assistant qualification, and exceptional behavioural management skills. We are seeking a candidate who is patient, understanding of individual learners needs, and able to motivate and inspire during lessons or on a 121 basis.

To support the supply need of the schools within the trust, we are seeking Higher Level Teaching Assistants who are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  1. Supporting Classroom Activities: Assist the teacher in implementing Individual Learning Plans (ILP’s) and adapting materials to meet the needs of children. 

  1. Teaching: Teach classes unassisted when required. 

  1. Support: Provide focused support to individual or groups of children with specific learning needs, helping them overcome challenges and achieve academic and personal milestones. 

  1. Collaboration: Work closely with teachers and parents to develop and implement effective strategies for supporting the children.  

  1. Observation and Reporting: Observe and record student progress, behaviours, and achievements, and communicate this information to the teaching team and parents regularly. 

  1. Promoting Inclusivity: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all children feel valued, respected, and supported in their unique learning journeys. 

  1. Assistive Technology: Familiarize yourself with and utilize assistive technology and resources to enhance the learning experience. 

Requirements: 

  • Experience of working with children. 

  • To hold a HLTA or other relevant qualifications. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational development of children.
