If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you We are looking for a learning support assistant to join a primary school in Newhaven . The school is committed to providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for all its pupils, especially those with special educational needs. The school has a dedicated and supportive staff team who work collaboratively to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum. As a learning support assistant, you will be working closely with the class teacher and other professionals to support the learning and development of small groups or individual pupils. You will help them to access the curriculum, engage in activities, and develop their confidence and independence. You will also assist with the care and welfare of the pupils, and promote their positive behaviour. To be successful in this role, you will need to have: Previous experience as a teaching assistant A good knowledge of the primary curriculum and the strategies to support SEN pupils Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with pupils, staff and parents A flexible and adaptable approach to work in a fast-paced environment A positive and enthusiastic attitude to learning and teaching The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, from 08:30 to 13:30. The pay rate is £68-£70per day. The contract is temporary with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
