This prestigious company are looking for a highly motivated Sports Coach to deliver engaging sessions across Staffordshire
With over 7,500 children and families a week benefiting from this companies services, they'll continue to provide the same outstanding services, which are integral to the health and wellbeing of schools and communities in Staffordshire and Cheshire.
Duties and responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high quality PE and extra-curricular activities for children/families
- Deliver high-quality health and wellbeing projects, ensuring they meet the minimum standards as well as the needs of clients/partners
- Undertake a camp co-ordinator role on our school holiday kids camps
- Promote active and healthy lifestyles to individuals, families and diverse groups
- Build and develop constructive relationships with key customers
- Develop and maintain close links with all sectors of the community and local employers
- Ensure the smooth running of our programmes in the interests of sustaining business relationships
- Be alert to the safeguarding of young people and children, raising any issues and concerns
- Take positive steps and identify and overcome barriers to participation amongst children, prioritising access and inclusion
- Manage children’s behaviour to ensure a positive learning environment
- To carry out duties in accordance with awarding organisation policies including equal opportunities, child protection and health and safety
- To attend appropriate professional development training sessions
- To be a positive role model, creating a positive and fun environment in which to motivate and encourage children to participate in sport and physical activity
- To be a positive ambassador and demonstrate company values
- Assist with promotion/marketing
Skills and experience
- A degree in PE/Sports coaching and/or a B’Ed or PGCE with QTS or a Level 4 School Sports Coach Qualification
- Sound knowledge of child development and the National curriculum for Physical Education from EYFS-KS2
- Knowledge of how to live a healthy lifestyle
- GCSE Maths and English (minimum Grade C or 4)
- A clean enhanced DBSA passion for inspiring the next generation through PE, physical activity and sport
- An excellent communicator, organised and adaptable, honest and sincere
- Ambitious, with a drive to improve

Desirable:
- Level 2 Multi-Skills and/or other sports
- Paediatric First Aid Level 2 Safeguarding Children in Sport
- An understanding of and interest in health-related physical activity, healthy eating and health-related behaviour change
