Form of workMy school based in the heart of Barking is seeking an exceptional and experienced Teaching Assistant/Sports Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team.
You will work alongside others to provide a stimulating environment in which children can learn and develop. The role will include:
- in class support
- delivering interventions
- playground activities
- supporting our Sports Coach in delivering PE lessons and sports activities.
You will have:
- GCSE Grade C or above in English and mathematics
- a minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or similar qualification
- an interest and skills in a range of sports
- the understanding and knowledge of how to encourage children to be able to take the next step in their learning
- enthusiasm and creativity
- experience of working with children aged 5 - 11 years
- the ability to work co-operatively as part of a team, and also to be highly organised, efficient and display initiative
- knowledge and experience of running intervention activities
- to be prepared to take a full an active part in all school life.
