We are currently seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join a vibrant Primary School in Royston. This is a contract position starting immediately and running until the end of the academic term. The role offers a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about making a positive impact on their students’ educational journey.
Day-to-day of the role:- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and informative lessons that align with the National Curriculum.
- Assess and record students’ progress, preparing them for end-of-year expectations.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and curiosity.
- Utilise a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and needs.
- Maintain open communication with parents, carers, and colleagues regarding student progress and wellbeing.
- Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, specifically Year 5.
- Strong understanding of the current curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to teaching and learning.
- Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
