Job Title: Primary SEMH Teacher

Location: Islington

Starting Date: ASAP

Pay Rate: £150-£220 per day (based on experience)

Are you a dedicated and passionate teacher looking for an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners? GSL Education is seeking a Primary SEMH Teacher to join a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Islington. This role is crucial for supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to achieve their full potential.

As a Primary SEMH Teacher, you will:

• Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of students with SEMH requirements.
• Foster a supportive and nurturing learning environment to encourage student engagement and achievement.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement strategies that support the social, emotional, and academic development of students.
• Utilize positive behavior management techniques to support and guide students.
• Engage with parents, guardians, and external agencies to ensure the holistic development of students.

Job Requirements:

• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from the UK is desirable.
• Experience: Proven experience working with children with SEMH needs.
• Skills: Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive learning environment.

Document Requirements:

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application through us.
• Provide two professional child-related references covering the last 2 years.
• An updated CV with work and/or academic history from the last 10 years.
