Position: SENCo
Location: Smallfield, Surrey
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £31,350 - £46,179 (M1 – UPS2 Fringe)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Start Date: Immediate start preferred, but will accept a September start if required
Job Overview: As a SENCo you will work closely with the Head of School to lead and manage various aspects of the school. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with the leadership team.
- Supporting training and development for all team members.
- Promoting best practices and contributing to curriculum development.
- Ensuring compliance with each pupil’s Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) and defined Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) assessment.
- Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the school’s special education policy.
- Coordinating and deploying the school’s provision for SEND students.
- Communicating with parents, school employees, and other agencies regarding pupil progress and support strategies.
- Advising on the strategic development of SEN policy and provision.
