Primary Supply Teachers are in high demand in our partnership schools in the Coventry area. We work with many schools and, therefore, can offer you regular work. By working as a Primary Supply, you have flexibility on the days you wish to work. You can also choose if you would like to receive morning calls or to be pre-booked in advance. Applications will be accepted from qualified and newly qualified teachers (ECT).
Your new role
As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will have strengths within the early years; KS1 or KS2. You will need to cover classes delivering planned lessons set by the class teacher or sometimes your own lessons for unplanned sick cover. Some of your other duties will include:
- Managing behaviour in the classroom
- Becoming familiar and acting on school policies and procedures
- Marking all the work at the end of each lesson
- Leaving a handover for the class teacher
What you'll need to succeed
- You will need to hold QTS
- Experience working within a primary classroom
- Good behaviour management and organisational skills
- You need to be flexible and willing to travel around Coventry
- You must hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a DBS through Hays
