Primary Teacher (KS1) - Rochester

Full-time - MPS/UPS - Easter 2024 start

Tradewind Recruitment are sourcing for a dedicated Primary Teacher to teach a KS1 Class for a Primary School in Rochester. This is a full-time role that is due to start from Easter 2024 and will run till the end of the academic year. There is scope for this role to go permanent for the right candidate and shortlisting for this role is happening imminently. This role is open to both ECTs and experienced teachers.

The school is a multi-form school in Rochester, accessible via public transport and can offer permits for parking. The school is also graded GOOD by Ofsted and highlighted the strong pastoral support that is in place for the pupils, which is fostered by not only the senior leaders, but also teaching and support staff alike. Special attention was also given to the schools success in their EYFS and KS1 provision. Students feel safe and the behaviour of students has been observed to be very good, with a robust and well supported behaviour policy.

The Role

• Planning and delivering the Primary Curriculum in KS1
• Responsibility for ensuring your cohort is supported, and challenged appropriately with the work set.
• Managing behaviour within the classroom effectively
• Liaising with Parents/Guardians on the progress and/or potential development areas of students

Requirements

• Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK
• Experience teaching the UK Primary Curriculum with KS1 experience being highly desirable.
• Hold an enhanced DBS (DBS on the update service is highly desirable)
• Have right to work in the UK
