Job description

The new Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team at Unsted Park School & Sixth Form are looking to recruit an outstanding Primary Teacher to join their Teaching team!

You will be an experienced and creative practitioner who has a real passion for teaching, learning and the curriculum, with a commitment to developing the whole child. You will also have the ability to lead and develop colleagues. The position would suit an experienced Primary or Middle school teacher who would like the opportunity to further develop their leadership skills. The successful candidate will be teaching and supporting our young people who may have autism, emotional behavioural difficulties, ADHD and associated complex needs.

Our benefits include:

  • Exclusive access to reward and discount scheme
  • Blue Light Card
  • Comprehensive induction
  • Commitment to your ongoing training and career progression
  • Teacher pension scheme
  • Paid for enhanced PVG/DBS
  • Wellbeing support
  • Cycle to work scheme and more!

Unsted Park School is set in a beautiful semi-rural location with 44 acres of surrounding grounds. We are a residential/day SEN school specialising in the education and care of children and young people between the age of 7 to 19 years who are diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum with associated learning difficulties.

As part of Aspris Children’s Services, we are immensely proud of the career pathway and training we can offer you. We ask that you can demonstrate the values needed for a role, transferable skills and life experience and in return we will give you all the training and support you need to progress.

We strongly believe in developing our own talent and growing our teachers into successful middle and senior leaders.

Please note that we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher and ideally have experience of teaching and supporting young people within SEN, along with the following characteristics:

Resilience
– We support some of the most vulnerable children in society who have varying degrees of emotional behavioural difficulties, autism, ADHD and associated difficulties so there will be times where your resilience is challenged.
Communication – Communicating with our young people is vital to understand their needs. Good teamwork and communication plays a key part in ensuring important information is relayed to other staff.
Organisation – You will have experience of organising, planning and teaching well-structured lessons tailored to the needs of the pupils as well as monitoring each students learning needs, adapting teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of each pupil.
Caring – Our young people require the best care we can offer. If you are a naturally caring and compassionate person, this is the role for you.
Attentive – No two tasks will be the same so being attentive to understand the needs of the young people we support is vital

Above all, we provide a supportive and collaborative working environment where you can flourish in your career and feel incredibly rewarded by helping those who need it
most.

If you want to progress your career in Education, Aspris Children’s Services will help you get there.

Aspris is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All applicants must be willing to undergo safeguarding screening appropriate to the post, including checks with Disclosure & Barring Service and at least 2 references which cover the last 3 years; for all our services we will request references from where you have worked with either Children or Vulnerable Adults. Please be advised that references may be requested prior to interview for roles within our Schools.
