Position: English and Maths Interventions Teacher
Location: Eastbourne, East Sussex
School Type: Junior School (3 form entry)
Part Time Hours: 8:30 – 12:30, Monday – Friday
Start Date: Immediate Start/after the Easter Holidays (April)
As an English and Maths Interventions Teacher, you will be working closely with Year 5 and Year 6 pupils, delivering targeted interventions to enhance their Maths and Literacy skills, ultimately boosting their academic attainment.
This role is ideal for a dedicated educator who seeks to make a meaningful impact without the demands of a full classroom. You will enjoy the flexibility of part-time hours while benefiting from the support of a dynamic team and a well-resourced learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering tailored interventions in English and Maths to small groups of pupils
Collaborating with the Literacy Lead to develop and deliver quality-focused sessions to support lower-attaining learners
Utilizing provided planning and assessment tools to adapt sessions to meet the individual needs of students
Collaborating with colleagues to ensure interventions align with curriculum objectives and pupil progress is tracked effectively
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status
Strong curriculum knowledge of English and Maths
Passion for supporting pupils’ academic development
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit diverse learning styles
