Cathedral Schools Trust, Primary Teaching and Learning Adviser
Full-time
Pay Scale: L14 - L18 (£65,010 to £71,729)
Start Date: 1st September 2024
This is an exciting time to join Cathedral Schools Trust and to help drive the continuing improvement of the primary phase of our family of schools.
The Primary Teaching and Learning Adviser will work closely with the Director of Primary and Primary Teaching and Learning Lead. The role also offers the opportunity to work alongside both dynamic and supportive colleagues within the central team, and a dedicated and talented team of headteachers, senior leaders and staff across Cathedral Schools Trust.
We believe in sharing good practice and collaborative working, while ensuring that each of our schools continues to have its own unique characteristics. The Primary Teaching and Learning Adviser will broker and build on opportunities for partnership and collaboration across the Trust, supporting progress towards each school’s development plan priorities.
Key roles will include:
- coordinating the ITT provision and the support for Early Career Teachers across both primary and secondary schools within the trust;
- overseeing primary assessment and data collection processes;
- supporting implementation of the CST primary curriculum, and acting as a mentor and coach to staff at all levels across the organisation.
Other responsibilities will be agreed depending on the successful applicant’s skills, experience and particular areas of interest.
With both the oldest and newest schools in the city as part of our family, Cathedral Schools Trust offers a unique combination of historic foundations and new opportunities. We are a fully inclusive MAT, with both non-faith community schools and Church of England schools, that celebrates diversity and encourages excellence for all members of our community. Music is an important part of our schools, enhancing our sense of community via performance and celebration.
Our staff are proud to work for the Trust and value the strong, respectful relationships between colleagues. As a Trust, we are not complacent. We listen to staff and act on their feedback to drive meaningful change to continue to make CST an outstanding place to work.
Full details of the role can be found in the attached job description and person specification.
If you would like to discuss the role further, please contact Jack Lacey, Director of Primary, at jlacey@cathedralschoolstrust.org
