The Financial Management Service monitors and supports the delivery of the Council’s financial strategy and aims to ensure the effective allocation of the Council’s financial resources to deliver the Council’s vision for Knowsley.
The post holder will support the development, implementation and review of financial management processes and will be responsible for maintaining effective and high-quality delivery of a wide range of financial support to clients. CCAB Accountancy qualification (preferably CIPFA). At least 5 years of relevant experience including at least 3 years in public sector roles.
While preference will be given to candidates with the above qualification, in exceptional circumstances candidates who can instead demonstrate extensive relevant experience and at least 3 years of proven performance in a relevant local government finance role may be considered.
