We are looking for two Principal Behavioural Scientists to work in the UK Health Security Agency’s Behavioural Science and Insights Unit (BSIU), part of the Science Group.
The Principal Behavioural Scientist roles provide support to the Deputy Director, leading operational teams providing robust, expert advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders in support of the all-hazards activities of the organisation.
The postholders will also be expected to lead applied research and evaluation projects, utilising qualitative and quantitative methodologies, applying theoretical models and frameworks appropriate to the context of the work.

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) operates a hybrid working model where business needs allow. This provides us with greater flexibility about how and where we work, to get the best from our workforce. As a hybrid worker, you will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of your contractual working hours (approximately 3 days a week pro rata, (averaged over a month) working at our Porton Down location.
This role also requires full UK Security Clearance, and the successful candidates will either have, or be required to apply for, and obtain.
