Job description

The Opportunity

As our Principal Bid Manager, you will help us achieve our goals and deliver success on behalf of our customers by:

  • Managing and maintaining the content and the end to end value proposition that can be offered to customers at Featurespace, making sure it is effective at creating quality responses that show potential customers the value of working with Featurespace
  • Maintaining high quality training for internal, and if required external, teams and customers
  • Ensuring reporting is up to date and using data to demonstrate trends, insights and analysis to help all Featurespace teams with a focus on Commercial and Product

This is a hybrid role based from our London office. Ideally you will be comfortable coming into the office twice a week, if you’re interested in the role but require more flexibility, please speak to us!

Day to Day

Support of other Bid team members

  • Escalation point for Junior and Senior Bid Managers for day to day advice and running of team
  • Ensuring bid team is supported and all work is tracked

Supporting teams in managing and maintaining content used in bids

  • Working with teams to co-ordinate checks and maintenance of content, making sure content is kept up to date
  • Scheduling regular content catch ups to ensure there is a regular cadence for creation and review
  • Capturing key information about the opportunity (their challenges, goals for the project, competitors, budget etc) to help Sales and PreSales with messaging on overall Featurespace value proposition

Bid reporting

  • Ensure reporting is kept up to date
  • Use data to demonstrate the value provided by the bid team for internal teams and Senior Management Team / Board as required
  • Use data to analyse areas for improvement or further opportunity
  • Provide insight on industry trends seen in RFP requirements to help inform other Featurespace teams

Training Support & Enablement

  • Creation and maintenance of bid best practice training for internal teams
  • Training could also be created for external teams such as customers or partners for advice on how best to run bids as a billable service

About you

Must haves:

  • Ability to communicate clearly and consultatively with clients if necessary
  • Excellent decision making skills in time sensitive situations
  • Strong, clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrable organisational skills
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise personal and team workload(s)

Great to haves:

  • Presentation experience
  • Experience working in sales or bid previously – experience of working on enterprise software based RFPs
