DV Cleared Principal Civil Structural Engineer Nuclear Berkshire Contract (Outside of IR35)
Due to rapid and continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Civil Structural Engineer to join a leading contract organisation, delivering consultancy services, Engineering solutions and site operations support to some of the UK s leading Defence contractors.
The Principal Civil Structural Engineer will be responsible for reviewing existing safety case documentation for Civil and Structural systems, assessing the documentation against modern standards and undertaking site surveys to ascertain the current condition of Civil and Structural systems.
They will also assume responsibilities for:
- Authoring updated Design Acceptance Reports (DARs)
- Identifying shortfalls within the safety case
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of design or Design Substantiation of concrete and steel structures within a nuclear hazardous environment
- Experience of writing Design Substantiation reports or other safety case documentation
- Strong understanding of safety case
- An understanding of the relationship between safety functional requirements (SFRs), structures, systems and components (SSCs) and Engineering Schedules
Current DV clearance and the ability to work from site 3 days per week is essential.
