Form of workA prominent, medium-sized multi-disciplinary consultancy with a strong presence across the UK is currently on the lookout for a driven Principal Designer to play a pivotal role in supporting a rapidly expanding project portfolio across the North of the UK.
The successful candidate has the flexibility to be based out of either the Leeds or Newark offices.
The Principal Designer role
The appointed Principal Designer will work directly under the guidance of the Head of CDM. This role promises exposure to a vast range of sectors including education, commercial, leisure, retail, residential, and heritage, reflecting the consultancy's diverse project engagements.
The Principal Designer will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health and safety are applied throughout all stages of project design and implementation.
This involves close collaboration with clients, architects, and engineers to manage risks effectively and ensure compliance with CDM regulations.
The Principal Designer
- Proven experience as a Principal Designer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- A solid understanding of CDM 2015 regulations and a commitment to promoting health and safety best practices.
- Experience working across various sectors such as education, commercial, leisure, retail, residential, and heritage.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- Relevant health and safety qualifications, with a preference for candidates holding NEBOSH or IOSH certification.
