Principal Electrical Design Engineer - To £75K + Clear path to Principal + No minimum number of days in the office.
If you're tired of being a small cog in a wheel and would like to join a Building Services Consultancy that can offer you autonomy and a clear path to Director, then please read on.
Established just after the GFC in 2009, this MEP Design and Sustainability Consultancy has stood the test of time. They are still a hugely successful, independently owned consultancy that secure all their projects directly from high profile architects or developers.
Their two founding Directors (both are CEng and MCIBSE) remain hands on and ensure every project they undertake meets or exceeds their clients' expectations. And they also ensure that every employee has a voice and can make suggestions on how to further improve their practice, standards, or the quality of what they deliver.
Collaborating with their Electrical Associate (who will be retiring this year) you'll be the lead Electrical Engineer and be responsible for designing, leading, managing and delivering projects. Current projects range from 100,000 sq. foot offices, major decarbonisation projects on behalf of global investment banks, and 5-star hotels across London.
With around 15 MEP Design Engineers they are large enough to compete against the larger multi-disciplinary consultancies, yet small enough to provide that extra level or service and attention to detail.
Working closely with the founding directors you will be required to lead your own projects from the initial briefing right through, concept and detailed design, to hand over. You'll be required to attend meetings with clients and help bring their ideas to life and help future proof their buildings.
Offering an unblocked and clear path to Associate within a year, this opportunity is likely to appeal to a Principal Electrical Engineer that enjoys being hands on and liaising with architects.
You'll benefit from a flexible hybrid working arrangement (no minimum days after probation, just, "as and when is required"), 25 days leave, flexible working hours, BUPA, an annual bonus, and an employee share ownership incentive.
