This is an opportunity for a Principal Electronics Design Engineer a leading company. This role you see you being responsible/accountable for the electronic design, development and test of the company's new and existing electronic product portfolio which will encompass task scoping, design cost analysis and project planning/estimation to achieve project milestones and quality of product delivery.
Responsibilities:
Champion the design and feasibility plan according to project requirements and determine successful implementation across our product ranges (both new and existing).
Collaborate with other teams and gain overall understanding of technology across all platform work, identify dependencies, schedule impact, recommend solutions and mitigate risks.
Proactively lead technical discussion and drive issues closure with relevant parties.
Articulate technical proposals/justification/issues and provide clear technical updates to project and management teams regularly on progress.
Participate actively in technical forums, enable decision-making and progress.
Communicate technical changes and impact to the team, motivate, coach and support team members in their deliverables.
Provide feedback and reports in conjunction with the personal development. Participate in the review an appraisal programme for the team members performance
Accountable for the highest quality delivery of our work for all our products.
Work alongside the Resource and Delivery Manager to plan and support the allocation of resources and budgets for projects, tasks and work packages throughout the product life cycle.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
A degree in a relevant engineering discipline
Experienced in design capture using relevant tools
Experience of R&D project lifecycle PCP/ECR/ECO
Proficient in the use of CAD tools for the creation of schematic diagrams and printed circuit boards
