Job Title: Principal Structural Engineer

Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join a growing team as a Principal Structural Engineer based in Belfast.

Our client has revealed plans for their Belfast office to increase significantly over the next 12 months- this includes a move into a new office space as the current headcount of 65 has outgrown the limits of the current office.

The Belfast office collaborates with several other offices as they all work on a diverse range of projects across Northern Ireland and mainland UK such as Casement Park Stadium, Royal Victoria Hospital Energy Centre, Ballycastle Educational Campus to highlight a few.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the structural engineering team, providing guidance and technical expertise to clients and junior team members.
• Oversee the design and analysis of structures, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.
• Take ownership of projects from conception through to completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables within specified timeframes and budgets.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status with a recognised professional institution.
• Proven experience in leading structural engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills and Competencies:

• Proficient in structural analysis and design software.
• Familiarity with BIM processes.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
