Principal Planner - Solar - Republic of Ireland
Piper Maddox are working with a leading global IPP for solar/BESS to add a new Principal Planner to their Irish team.
You would be coming into a client side role to lead on all areas of planning in a place where your ideas will always be listened to, regardless of the fact you'd be working in a larger business organization.
The planning team really pride themselves on having a strong culture, where they are all very passionate about what they do to reach net-zero. As well as this they have close relations with the rest of the wider IPP as they will have influence over other areas of the project life-cycle.
Another plus of joining this team is getting the opportunity to get involved with the wider companies inhouse planning community, and gaining exposure to other jurisdictions within career development.
What would your role look like but not be limited to?:
-Working to manage the planning applications which would include managing external consultants to review documentation; working with other internal teams to ensure everything corresponds with planning regulations.
-Working with relevant planning authorities.
-Looking at project plans and assessing any risks.
-Being the lead for stakeholder engagement for your projects.
-Ensuring everything can be effectively handed over to construction and asset management functions within the IPP.
-Being able to advise on planning to look at site selection and using GIS tools.
-Conducting site visits.
