Job description

Location: City Campus About the Role The department is seeking to appoint a permanent Principal Lecturer in Social Work. As a successful applicant, you will be expected to lead the Social Work team and contribute towards the existing teaching strength of the department and have a record of success within the field relating to a) professional practice or b) scholarship activities, or c) research. Applications are welcomed from individuals who have an excellent leadership and teaching track record and a willingness to continue developing their scholarly, practice or academic research profile. We are particularly keen to hear from those with key expertise in one or more of the following: Children and family practice Child protection Child and Adolescent Mental Health Adult safeguarding Transitions Adult mental health Practice Education Decolonising education/practice You will possess excellent leadership skills, being capable of leading the Social Work subject team across both undergraduate and postgraduate courses and teaching across our portfolio of courses within the Social Work, Care and Community department. You will be an inspiring leader and educator interested in creating engaging learning experiences. You should be able to make a significant leadership contribution to our ambitious plan for leading and delivering innovative, practice-focused education.
