About The Role

Are you an experienced Landscape Consultant with considerable knowledge and experience in LVIA? Are you looking for a role where you can work on a wide variety of LVIA projects across the UK and Ireland? Macro Works, part of the APEM Group, is your gateway to a dynamic landscape and visual consultancy. With a focus on LVIA, we're the go-to for Ireland's major commercial and infrastructural ventures and we are bringing this expertise to the UK. We work on a number of high volume, broad-ranging development projects, which include coastal / offshore, countryside and urban settings.

We are looking for a Principal Landscape Architect to join our growing team and help to establish the work we are doing across the UK.

As a key member of our team, you can look forward to working on a richly diverse portfolio of LVIA projects in terms scale, sector and setting as well as being part of a highly efficient, tightly knit team.In this varied role we'll be looking to empower your technicalexpertiseas you'll have the opportunity to get out into the field to conduct surveys and collect baseline photography, collaborate with architects, planner & engineers to integrateLVIA considerations into project designs, alongwith providingexpertadvice onlandscape and visual mitigation measures and much more.

To be successful in this role you'll need:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Landscape Architecture, environmental planning, geography, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in conducting LVIA for a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, infrastructure, and renewable energy developments.
  • Strong project management and staff mentoring skills
  • Ability to work directly with clients
  • Proficiency in GIS, CAD, and visualisation software.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and independently manage project tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of local legislation, guidelines, and best practices related to landscape and visual impact assessment across the UK and Ireland
