Salary: £52,000 - £60,000

Role Clearance Type: You must be able to gain and maintain the relevant UK Government clearance in line with the job role (SC).

Location: Burlington House, New Malden, Kingston-Upon-Thames, London, UK.

About Your Opportunity:

Working on cutting-edge technology, you’ll be visiting our partners in the UK to oversee manufacture of our hardware designs for an important National Defence Submarine Programme.

A senior member of the Hardware Engineering team, this role will work to lead, co-ordinate and develop the production team in the successful manufacture of control systems within the defence industry. The role is ideal for a highly experienced Production Engineer with a background and working knowledge of both Electrical & Mechanical Engineering to grow the Production Engineering capabilities.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Own, manage and maintain both company and programme specific processes and procedures to enable successful manufacture
  • Own production progress reports provided by the team and communicate across functions along with external stakeholders including suppliers and our customers
  • To lead and provide support to production team across multiple disciplines and projects
  • Lead process improvements within both the department and the company aligning with practice panels.
  • To review and sign off control system designs for manufacturability, ideally from an electrical engineering perspective

Your Experience:

  • Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or similar level of experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a manufacturing/production engineer
  • Understanding and working knowledge of Defence programmes
  • Experience in control panel manufacture, testing or design
  • IPC certified or understanding of IPC standards
