Principal Manufacturing Engineer - build line support

Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Principal Manufacturing Engineer - build line support, with a background in Nuclear or other highly regulated sector on a staff basis, to be working hybrid but willing to attend sites/offices in Barrow.
What you'll be doing:

• This role will give you the opportunity to ultilise your experience, provide solutions and support to the Build teams - Supporting business justifications to implement new and replacement technologies/equipment into manufacturing production areas
• Leading and managing a team; planning and coordinating their activities to meet departmental and business requirements
• You will gain exposure in representing our department, networking both Internally and Externally, while chairing technical meetings and reviews (as necessary) that support the Manufacturing Engineering end deliverables
• Providing specialist advice, product or process knowledge, and output requirements. Utilising innovation and creativity to solve problems and implement continuous improvement
• Act as a technical lead for a sub-discipline area within the discipline/project and act as an approved signatory

Your skills and experiences:

• Submarine build knowledge / experience is highly desirable, although we would also consider experience in relevant high hazard industry such as; Oil and Gas, Marine, Energy etc.
• Minimum level HNC qualification or equivalent industry experience
• Confident in communicating with stakeholders
