Position: Senior Mechanical Engineering Leader - Edinburgh

Role Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Mechanical Engineering Leader to join the Edinburgh office. As a pivotal figure within the organization, you will assume a key leadership role, driving the strategic direction of their Mechanical Engineering department. Depending on your proven expertise and extensive experience, you will step into either the distinguished position of Mechanical Principal or the role of Technical Director. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Mechanical Engineering department, guiding our team towards excellence and achievement.
  • Spearhead the development and implementation of innovative engineering solutions, ensuring alignment with client objectives and project requirements.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement within the team, driving productivity and performance to new heights.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and mentor to junior engineers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, and stakeholders, ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices, integrating them into our engineering processes and methodologies.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Chartered status or working towards incorporation/chartered status with a recognized professional institution.
  • Possession of a valid UK Driving License.
  • Willingness to travel to meetings and project sites as required.
  • RIBA knowledge and experience of fulfilling stage 2 to 4
