The ideal candidate will have worked in Local Government and will be willing to attend Planning Committees once a month.
The hourly rate of pay is negotiable dependent upon experience.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Providing planning and highways advice to internal clients and Councillors
- Reviewing planning reports before they go to planning committees.
- Attending planning committees once a month (evening meeting) and attending the Chair’s briefing
- Providing legal advice on all matters relating to Highways
- Assisting the Council with any planning inquiries
- Drafting instructions to Counsel as and when required
Experience required:
- Experience required in Local Government
- Experience required in attending Planning Committees
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Providing legal advice
- Reviewing reports
- Drafting instructions to counsel

- Role is mostly remote besides having to attend Planning Committee’s once a month
Working hours:
- 37 hours a week
- Monday – Friday
