Principal Public Protection Officer

Middlesbrough Council’s Public Protection Service is passionate about improving the lives and living standards of all its residents, protecting the environment, protecting consumer interests, and supporting a strong local economy.

We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced Environmental Health Officer to join our Public Protection Service. Working alongside other Principal Officers you will take a lead role in our Environmental Health team, focusing on food safety / standards, workplace health and safety and infectious disease control.

You will also work across the wider Public Protection functions and on corporate matters such as emergency planning.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have considerable knowledge and experience in these fields and who have proven skills, experience and qualifications in management and leadership.
