Location:Hybrid working, 1 to 2 days a weel in the Bristol/Corsham office
Compensation: £63,000 to £65,000 + benefits
Role Type: Full time / Permanent
MUST be a sole UK National and willing to undergo security clearance
The role:We're looking for a Principal Software Engineer with demonstrable experience of applying a systems engineering approach to delivery. You will provide expert software and systems engineering support to one of our exciting projects.
Key responsibilities
- Provide expert Software Engineering consultancy and leadership to critical engineering programs
- Ensuring that an assured engineering lifecycle is applied; including requirements specification, design, production, test, integration and assurance
- Develop delivery strategy, roadmaps and work breakdown structures ensuring work is delivered to requisite time, cost and quality.
- Representing the company at stakeholder meetings, Governance forums, Design Reviews and Readiness Assessment activities
- Leading and managing teams of engineers
Proactive in your approach, you'll have excellent leadership skills combined with the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment with new and exciting challenges each day.
Required Experience
- In-depth knowledge of Systems and Software Engineering processes on large and/or complex projects
- Design, integration and delivery of complex software controlled electronic systems.
- Writing and reviewing solution architecture HLD, roadmaps and SOW
- University degree or equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related discipline
