Principal Software Engineer - £80k - Worcestershire

Platform Recruitment has partnered with a specialist manufacturer of safety equipment. They are looking to take on a Principal Software Engineer with strong leadership skills. The Principal Software Engineer will play a vital role in driving innovation and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience of commercial product development and a bachelor’s in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. (Master’s or PhD preferred).

Responsibilities:

+ Drive the implementation, testing, and deployment of software solutions.

+ Lead the development of complex software systems.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, physicists,

data scientists, and product managers, to define software requirements.

+ Conduct code reviews

Key skills:

+ Strong proficiency in Python, Java, C++

+ Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

+ In-depth knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and development

methodologies.

+ Experience with deployment of AI models on embedded systems.

+ Strong leadership and team management skills

The salary will be up to £80k depending on previous experience with great company benefits.
