Your new company is a multidisciplinary consultancy based in the heart of Devon. They have a large and varied portfolio of projects. Your new consultancy is actively looking for candidates who have future ambitions to help lead the current Structural Engineering team, as well as help further grow the wider team/ office.
Your new role
The role of Principal Structural Engineer is a great opportunity for an ambitious Senior Structural Engineer to take the next step in their career. You will be joining a well-established Multi Disciplinary Design Consultancy. When in the office, you will be met with a young, busy and ambitious group of engineers who all enjoy rolling their sleeves up and getting stuck in to the diverse project portfolio the consultancy is currently working on.
The bulk of the current projects the Consultancy is currently working on are based within retail, housing, and commercial projects.
What you\'ll need to succeed
To succeed in the role, you will require the following:

• Leading Structural Engineering Projects.
• Contributing to Business Development.
• Be confident in dealing with client\'s requirements, present proposals, discuss project progress and undertake project presentations.
• Be responsible for leading and a mentor team of engineers and technicians, while also being able to perform analysis and calculations along with preparing structural reports and project submissions independently.
• Co-ordinate project delivery with internal and external clients
• Supervise work undertaken by others, ensuring that it is carried out to the appropriate technical standard and that it is managed to programme and budget.
• Have a desire to learn new skills and the ability to consider the wider engineering issues related to the analyses being undertaken.

Additional requirements to be considered are,
* Must be Chartered with the IStructE or ICE
* Ability to deliver design solutions, lead teams and successfully manage projects
* A highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills
* Knowledge of construction contracts and high commercial awareness
