We are currently looking for a Principal Traffic Engineer to join our team based at our Slough office. What you will be doing:
Ensuring that projects are managed within their respective budgets
Co-ordinating the issue of invoices and ensure the clients requirements are fulfilled
Preparing proposals and estimates for new work
Project managing/directing projects in accordance with Client requirements
Providing technical direction on projects and high level advice on complex technical issues
Contributing to the management of the Traffic Engineering Team
Responding to Client and customer requests and enquiries and ensuring that their needs are met
Working collaboratively with marketing and business development activity for the business unit
Actively selling other aspects of Project Centre to Clients
Managing a team of 4 employees of varying degrees of seniority
To be the Client's primary point of contact for projects managed within your business unit
What we are looking for:
Relevant Degree or equivalent
Alternative consideration given to significant relevant experience in lieu of specified education and professional qualification
Comprehensive understanding of traffic and transportation techniques, highway design and transport planning principles and a proven track record in project design and delivery
Preferably conversant with and/or intermediate user of CAD design software
Good understanding of traffic and highway legislation
Comprehensive knowledge of relevant technical / industry / TfL standards
